Give me a few min, I'll find the thread - site is still down, hootie I'm not sure how you searched their site when they're down :\

And yea cold air induction = ram air?

Direct Air is better?

Oh, can't do that... it wasn't a vacuum thread, it was related to the f4i mod... I accidently stumbled on it.

Well in cars I know CAI is better than RAM, not sure if it's because of the carb part...

Below 12mph i assume you are saying at low rpm?

I have pulles it ALL out, but have not blocked the inlets. Don't know if i will be able to get any dyno time to get this tested before the season starts. Would really apriciate some info from someone who has secsefully remove it.

As for the wera forums, i'll pass. Here and the hawk forum are the only places you will find me.

Any progress? I have done the same thing as I just got done jetting the carbs. I removed all that crap and just blocked off the vacuum ports. There are 2 ports that will be left on the carbs. If you remove EVERYTHING.
Actually the jet kit says to reroute the vent tubes first to eliminate the other ones. You cant just plug them all. I have the paper somewhere showing how to correctly reroute the tubes if you want it let me know and i'll post a pic. BUT.. this is for a stage 1 jet kit. Idk if it will work for u or not. you can always try it and put it back if it doesnt run right.

I had the same issue trying to figure it out but no one could give me a straight answer. So i just plugged them for now (the 2 carb ports). Seems to run fine so far but have a backfiring/popping problem I cant figure out. But I have my bike semi tore down right now so I havent ridden it yet. I dont know if my problem is those ports, or mixture screws, or just my shorty pipe with no baffle I just put on when i jetted it causing the popping. Wont know for sure till I get it on the road. I just synced the carbs too so i know its not that. Pretty sure its just mixture screws..

SO.. all you can do is try it and see what happens. Should be fine though. I've had people tell me they removed it with no problems. Once my bike is done i'll try to remember looking this post up again and let you know.
