Default F3 fuel pump explained

I been running into fuel pump issues, found this video extremely helpful to figure out whats going on inside the pump itself and thought I would share.

My original oem pump started leaking at the body, I don't think that is repairable, as I can't see a way to disassemble the actual pump body. I replaced it with a random amazon fuel pump that **** the bed after 400 miles. I decided to switch the contactors from my original fuel pump to the aftermarket one and the plunger would come up and then not come down again. Turns out the spring inside the pump was dead. How they can mess up a return spring to have 0 return is beyond me lol.

great tip and video. Thanks for sharing.
There’s a member here, @IDoDirt He has a video on how to rebuild the f3 fuel pump. The link should be in his signature block.

On the F3's the body of the fuel pump is crimped all the way around. You'd have to bend them apart, but there are no serviceable parts that you could get to fix it with if it's leaking.
