Ok so Ive been lookin around and keep seeing different answers.

Some say itis a directbolt in, others say I have to re-do the motor mounts anda bunch of other ****.

I was thinking about going with a newerCB919 motor with FI instead of the typical RR motor...but then again same story...some say its a direct bolt in while others say I have to rearange the engine mounts and stuff.

 

So if it were me and no one could give me a 'clear as day' answer, i would get a hold of both service manuals and compare it myself, it should be pretty easy to see if the mountings are identical, or if their might need to be some modification.

 

There is a thread and it showed a guy install a 900RR enigne into a F3. From what I remember it was not a direct bolt in. He had to weld in new mounting tabs, notch the right side frame to make space for the valve cover, modify the airbox, and modify the exhaust.
