Default F4i Motor Swap

Ok guys Im lookin to start a project F4i Ive found a few frames for cheap and been thinkin about using it as the base for the project but I already got a F4istreet ride so I want this to be different its gonna be a frankenstein.

Now I was wondering what motors will actually physically fit in an F4iframe? I dont care about the engine mounts I can either fab those up myself or havesome people I knowhook me up. Im not lookin for a bolt in project at allbut I dontwant to have to get as crazy assplitting the frame.

I wanna stay honda as far as engine (since theyre solid built) I was thinking a 600RR engine would fit fine butI was really thinking something more like a 929/954...Ideally I would want a 1000RR engine it but I dunno.

So anyone got any info if any of these engine will fit in there?

I don't think that would be a good idea. The engineers who designed the F4i made sure that the motor that went into the frame was specifically made for it. If you attempt to put an bigger engine you could have problems with mounting and frame stability. If you really want a 1000RR, I recommend to just save your money and get one. Just my opinion, if you get it to work, more power to you. No pun intended

yea i would pobably stick with the engine displacement that came with the bike cause unlike cars bike are basically built around the engine and clearance on everything is much tighter

put what ever you can fit in there. I've put a02 gixer grand motor in a 05 gixer 750 frame, and a busa motor in a 750SRAD. It's all aboutthe time and money youwant to put into it. Had a guy come into the shopon friday and he's looking at putting a zx14 motor in hiszx9. If you've got the money andconnections, be different. Just because someone puts the 01-03f4i tail/subframe on the 04-06 f4i, it dosent make it "unique" it makes it look just like the 01-03's. (Don't get me wrong fellas, I've got plenty of respect for the guys who put time and money into their bike toget it how they want it) As far as the engineers, they went to school to learn how to cut down some of the trial and error time. Every last one of you guys is an engineer, you just have to try it until you get it correct.
