I recently put an F2 motor in my 96 F3. No speed sensor on the F2 motor due to mechanical speedo on a F2. So speedometer doesn't work and the bike cuts out and sputters on the highway and at cruising speed. When I'm on the gas the bike goes well, but doesn't like a steady smooth throttle. From reading other posts I'm thinking I need the speed sensor on the bike. CAI setup on bike all hooked up correctly , Read that valve is controlled from speedometer???? Do they make and aftermarket setup for stock guages or do I drill and tap a new sensor into th emotor???? The bike sat for a while so the carbs may need a good cleaning. I drained and cleaned them already, but may need to be dipped???? Re clean and jet kit???? Changed the plugs and checked the wires, changed fuel filter and checked side stand switch. What else????
