Has anyone had to use a front stand that connects to the lower steering stem or triple clamp mounting area? The procedure follows: 1) Remove side fairings, 2) Remove seat, 3) Lower radiator, 4) Unmount fuel tank and lift up to get access to the Air Cleaner Housing Cover to unfasten the upper Direct Air Induction, 5) Loosen bolts to Direct Air Induction Duct and wiggle out.
The next year the 99' F4 has the Direct Air Induction Duct on the sides to allow immediate access with a front stand. The 98 Suzuki GSX-600R has Direct Air Induction Duct on the side to allow immediate access with a front stand, as well a 1998 Kawasaki ZX6R, 1998 Yamaha YZF-R6, and 1998 Ducati 916. However if you have a 98 Honda CBR600F3, its the procedure above with the stand on and off. Is there a way to circumvent this? Maybe velcro the duct on or trim the area covering the steering stem? I figure just glue some used ducts and move them to the side and cut DAID? I've reversed the bolt for the gas tank and put a quick disconnect fuel line clamp to easily remove the fuel tank.
