Default Close call

I just wanted to share this little close call with everyone. I just finished working on my F3 and was doing a test ride and everything was working great. After I can home and grabbed a bite to eat, I decided to take the bike out for a ride. I wanted to go down route 4 in Maryland which means that I have to pass through SE DC. As I was heading out there, I was merging with traffic on 295 and when I punched it... my *** end just about slid out from under me. I was looking around to see what caused that to happen and I discovered that I was leaking oil. From just forward of my foot back was saturated with oil... including the rear wheel. At the stop light on the off ramp, I discovered it was engine oil. To make a long story short, I decided to ride on out of SE DC and Prince George’sCounty with the oil leak. I made it to a little town called Dunkirk and checked the oil and I just barely made it with enough oil on the low mark. Found that the seal for my timing cover failed and was letting oil seep right on by. Thought a few of you guys might appreciate this.

i hear you on the saftey check i went 30 miles at 80 with a flat rear tire and i was about to leave the bike shop when one of the techs said i had a flat tire with a fat gash. long story short i found out why my bike was running slow and why my *** was slopy.
