Default Close Call

First of all, I have to thank GOD to be here creating this post.

I was rinding yesterday on the Los Angeles Crest highway, known to be very dangerous and causings a lot of accidents.
Everything was just fine for over 20 minutes, then in a split of a second I lost my concentration and crossed the double yellow line going head-on to the incoming traffic.
Thank GOD I manage to avoid all cars going to the other side of the highway!!!!

I've got everything on video.

Too hot in the turn, great reaction time, way to stay on top of a dire situation. Some riders would have tried to swerve back to the right of the oncoming truck instead of the left, I'm suprised those rocks didn't pop your tires or anything. Someone was blessed that day! Btw thats an awesome resolution for a camera, what video camera are you using and what kind of mount?

This is a Sony HC1 Hi-Def (1080i) Camera, mounted on a 27 Dollars gas tank mount bought on Ebay. As the camera is a bit heavy for the mount, I have to adapt an extra point of support, by adding a long screw with a suction cup on the tip, in the far end of it.

Yeah man you are one lucky *****!!!! I think I would have tried to get back in my lane and would been splattered on the ford. Nice evasion. Did you have to change your shorts after that? +1 on the video res.

Bloody hell mate. Well done for not panicking and avoiding what could have been very nasty.

And I thought I had some close calls.. geez!!!

Although it's pointless now to suggest, as you are o.k and got away with it, I would've thought leaning that bit further whilst giving a bit of hard countersteering could've kept you on your side of the road. Seemed a bit like target fixation to me...? (and trust me, i'm not criticising, I've ridden into a hedge before due to target fixation...!!!)

Dude! That was a close call. You're lucky to be alive. Good thing you didn't get hurt.
