Default choke, not travelling all the way

so since I got the bike, the choke lever only moves back about halfway down the arrow on the control. It functions great, but I'm wondering if its not returning all the way to normal position when I close it. Wondering if that has something to do with only 36mpg.

I read in the manual that the adjustment is right under the air box, then I read a post on here that the adjustment is on the back of the engine behind the left fairing. Which one is it?

Default RE: choke, not travelling all the way

The choke cable connects to a bracket on the front of the carbs, on the right side. The adjustment **** on the rear of the engine, near the fuel petcock is the idle adjustment ****.

My choke cable does the same thing, only half adjustment and works just fine. Make sure the cable isn't binding up anywhere, and then check the operation of the choke lever on the carbs themselves. When I pulled my carbs I didn't reset the choke properly and thats why I only have limited use of the lever. Since it hasn;t been a problem I haven't readjusted the choke.

Hope this helps.
