Carbs Running Super Rich After rebuild
Hi,
History: Got this bike 1.5 years ago from a couple who rode together, they stopped riding and let two F3's sit for 8+ years. I have gone through the entire fuel system, replaced every piece of rubber, cleaned, flush everything. Cleaned and rebuilt the carbs with factory parts. Since I've had the bike it has never run right...and always super rich. I've rebuilt many carb's, but these buggers just won't work right. I've checked the compression everything is at factory spec, new plugs, timing checked, valves checked..hoses checked...new leaner jets installed...etc... It just won't lean out and run right.
It runs super rich, all of the cylinders, I'm down to a 124 on the mains and stock needles and 2.5 turns out on the stock idle jet. Choke is off and is not sticking on or anything.
I just have a feeling there is some sort of emissions geezmo on these that is not working right that I am ignorant about.
Any help would be much appreciated. I'm to the point of trashing these and buying another set of used ones.
Thanks
