got different set of chrome bar end but one of the original ones wont come of it looks cross threaded, and where i have tried to undo the screw it haas started to ruin the cross head shape to the point where if i try again it slips out of the screw, is there any easy way of undoing this so i replace the other side ...........

 

Drill it out and use either a heli-coil or re-thread it with a tap and die set...

i feel your pain my two handlebar weights on the inside snapped on me i have to change them out also my throttle tube

 

nicely done for that will get tap and die set gotta get it off as looks odd with chrome one on other side will get some pics sent down, does anyone know how to get pics in the gallery many thanks .

My guess is the bar weight on the inside is just spinning. Just pull on the bar end until you have pulled out the bar weight on the inside. From there, you'll have the ability to stop the bar weight from spinning.
