Default Bar End Junk Removal

I just got a pair of bar end mirrors. In the process of removing the old bar ends, I realized there is junk inside of the clip on, which is preventing me from putting in the mirrors.

Any idea on how to remove that stuff?

I found this thread, but it's for an F4i. Is it the same?

i just screwed the screw back into the threads without the bar end on there, and i have a puller that i was able to grab onto the screw and pull the whole thing out

also i found that some DW40 or other lube helps a ton

you dont have to get a whole new clip-on you can buy just the bar weight it self and install it

is there anything holding the stuff on the inside in there?

according to the F4i manual, there is a little clip that you have to take the grips off to access. i hope it's not like that.

There's all kinds of guts to the clip on, they should just slide out i used a pair of plyer's and pulled it out, and you should be able to buy the parts from the dealership, but prolly cheaper/easier to find someone with the whole clipon
