Default ahh..lights

ahhmm...i dont know if its just me..but shouldnt my headlight get brighter when i rev it? Why does mine get dimmer...then go back to bright when its idleing....

any ideas???

Some times when your R/R is failing or Stator it dimms the lights when reved. What happens is, when you rev you bring the load up and if the stator is shot it will short circuit not producing enough power. When the R/R is shot it wont be able to manage the extra load when reved grounding the excess it cant handle bringing the voltage down. Check all the ground connections first and then all the connectors. If everything checks ok check the R/R and the stator. good luck. Let me know if you want me to explain how to check them both, i'll do a write up.

i have a writeup from abadfish. I have a new regulator on its way, but for now i have a reg from a gixxer on it. The resistance in the wires and the stator are all .8 ohm. (A-B)(B-C)(A-C). We'll see how this goes when my new regulator comes in.
