I just bought the same fuel pump. Thanks for the great info. Although at the autozone and orielly in my area, the pump was about $79 with tax. Still, its way better then spending $160 at the dealer. Thanks again for the info.

Orielly does pricematch, so if you only have them in the area pricematch them with autozones 53 and you'll be set

Just got mine in today. FOund one in stock saturday, but found out the cover was cracked when I got home. Got it all installed and it seems to work great.

Stock rubber mount. A little patience (sp), lots of swearing, and a few bleeding fingers later.

Wish I had left the wires just a BIT longer. Not too tight, but almost.

I found 2 more options.

BOSCH p/n 69563

CARTER p/n P70217

They are exactly the same copies of Airtex pump for Honda Accord.

They can be found at ebay or rockauto.com

the f2 didnt have a fuel pump, and im surprised the f1 would have one, but i dont know much about them.

battery turned backwards? as in the + and - were switched?

you should be able to run it w/o a fuel pump for now until you replace it, but im not sure this isnt the correct place for that information as most of these people are f3 owners.

a f1 has a fuel pump it's gravity fed to the pump pump allows so much gas into the carbs without burnign them out. so my pump was burtn otu when the battery turned backwards. i took this fourms idea i bought the 84 honda accord fuel pump.. it works like a charm... and hella cheaper. so for any one looking for a f1 and f2 ful pump this idea does work. u just got to make a bracket to make it fit in. or bolt down.

and yes i coulda run with out the pump b ut it drowned the carbs out cuz gravity without a pump led to much gas tot he carbs drowning mine out so i had to get a pump which slowed the gas process down.. until i used the throttled more.
