Default RE: Acceleration

with 10% inaccuracy in the speedo you could get 170mph on the clock.

When I'm going fast, I to busy looking at where I'm going & wot I may run into, than look at speedo. It all relative anyway. 80 clicks on a crap road can get me more focused than anything above 200 klms on a decent stretch. Besides speeds not the thing, its wot your doing to get to the speed. Anyone can go fast in a straight line (thats why god created cars)

Everyone likes to get their bike flat out at some time or another. Of course the best part of riding is the bends and passing all those people stuck in their cars when they are stuck in traffic ;-)

they are remarkable machines, mine will keep up with my mates 03 cbr600rr, and mine is more comfortable to ride, which is why I will never sell mine. I wonder if a double bubble screen will make it faster top end as it makes it more aerodynamic.

hi...this is my first post......i think your bike at that speed is suffering from a lean out syndrome...jet it up a hair...also,...check your Ram Air plumbing, a typical leak spot is down near the counter shaft.(vacuum leaks as well).

good luck with it...

I don't think there is anything wrong with the bike coz it keeps up with my mates 03 cbr 600rr, I have not had it totally flat out yet, will see what this weekend is like and will get back to you, I think 145mph in 5th before the readline is not too bad and I wasn't tucked in very tight, thanks for the info though. Also I think I will be going for a Zero Gravity double bubble screen I think they look really smart.
