Default 97 f3 question

Hey guys,

So, i was wondering if not having the guage cluster hooked up on my bike would cause any problems? Such as with the fuel cut off relay or fuel pump? right now, it will start and idle great, goes in first just fine up to about 10 to 15 mph, but when i shift to second and open the throttle it bogs down, sputters then eventually dies unless i pull the clutch and rev it. Ive read elsewhere on here that it is most likely the fuel pump or the fuel cutoff relay, but just wanted to make sure about the guages.

Thanks in advance.

check the intake pipes below the headlight.
i had the same problems turned out the pipe had come apart at the T piece where the 2 go into 1 and was not getting enough air in

To answer your question, no, the gauges will not affect bike performance. The problem is unrelated.
