After checking flow from petcock, fuel filter and pump points would be my next move.

Yes, the bike starts perfectly, runs well and accelerates well. It is at highway speeds that it starts to surge and slow; was so bad Sunday that it thought I was going to die out on me.

Have a look at your DAI system and solenoid ,make sure the air pipes are not blocked and the connecter from the solenoid is connected

+1 on checking the air tubes and solenoid. It sounds as if the bike could be air starved.

Yea jus take all that off!!! And sounds like fuel pump!! On the f3 the pump is only there for high rpm when gravity can't keep up with fuel needs!!
