Default 96 CBR600 F2 front brakes on 98 CBR600 F3 front end

Hi CBR gurus

new to the forum am currently working on my first bike build.

I ordered a set of front brake calipers off ebay because the seller said it was a 96 CBR600 F3 front brake set. Knew if it was a F3 brake set it should be compatible with my 98 F3 wheel.

I got the brake set from ebay in and never bothered to compare to my F3 front brakes.

Well I finally got ready to put the bike together and saw that the F2 brakes do not match the F3 in size.

Question is: can I still use the F2 brakes on my F3 wheel?

Thanks in advance!

picture is added for reference:

Mock it up in the mean time while you're waiting for a response

From what I understand from what I've read the F2 has solid mounted discs and kind of floating calipers, and the F3 has floating discs with solid mounted caliper, might cause a problem, I dont know. And the F3 has larger diameter discs than the F2, might cause a problem.
