Default 1996 CBR 600 F3 first proper ride

Compared to a lot of the bikes on the forum this one is nothing special- I picked it up a week ago for a great price from a guy that had bought it without realising his old riding injuries had caught up with him.
I like my bikes fairly original, this one fits the bill with only a couple of things changed. It has a tinted screen, a WR's slip on muffler and some small front indicators which I'll replace with standard ones in the future (so they can be seen better).
I'm absolutely loving it after my first decent ride- after some larger capacity bikes the lightness and handling are a revelation and the willingness to rev and do it smoothly are very welcome.
The best bit is the way riding again makes me feel. Two years ago I was diagnosed with PTSD (I've been a Firefighter for 27 years and been in some tough spots, still working while I'm working on it) and one single ride today did more good for my mental health than any session with a professional.
Even the thought of all the places I'll see on this bike and the mates I can reconnect with that I've been pushing away has lifted the cloud somewhat.
I can't bloody wait.

Being on two wheels can definitely make all of life's problems go away, at least for a bit. I've been saying for years that it's 5 gallons of therapy. It's also cheaper and more fun than a therapist. People that don't ride don't know what they're missing out on.

Keep the rubber side down, your head on a swivel, and enjoy your time together.
