just finished building the carbs. 2 sets of lines. one of which is the fuel lines, the other ones kinda just go to nowhere. i assumed it was like an overflow line incase the carbs overflowed, but someone said they hook to the airbox. nowhere for them to hook onto the air box. anyone else know what these are?

A pic would help alot. Are you talking about the two hoses that 45 down to nothing? If so, your looking at the carb vents.
I circled the hoses I'm talking about in red.


this is the same thing but the carbs are flipped to ease my removal of the throttle cable.

 

yes the vents. so im assuming they just kinda hang there and dont get connected to anything?
