well for one, I am not in the united states like many on this forum. My country is blessed to be littered evrywhere with these lovely curling, winding roads all over the place, with the od long straight in the middle somewhere, so over here, you can go for a high-spirited ride, and nobody gives a ****, the roads are largely deserted much of the time, and last week I dod a 700km trip, went past 5 cops on the way, speed past every one (between 10, and 70 km over the limit) and none of them cared, though I do pick roads I know well for the more spirited rides!!! and NOT in built up areas

That sounds about right for a stock f2. Also depends on your weight, drag etc, But if you can get to 145mph then its running just fine.
I thought NZ used kph like here in Oz? lol
hey, by high mileage, I mean my bike has just under 140,000km on it, so yep, she is high!!, and no major engine work, just the odd service!!
Yes, we do use KM over her, but my speedo reads in MPH (it has KMH, but its so hard to see, I read of the MPH, and calculate) that and most on here are americans, so I figured id speak in their terms, haha otherwise people would think I was talking **** saying my F2 does 230-240!!

Well I went on a big group ride today, and the situation gave us a 6 mile straight away and since there were too many of us to catch... Everyone opened it up wide

Bear in mind this was in a controlled environment on a controlled course

I topped out both on speed and willingness at 135. The front end started to feel like it was unweighting, which made me a bit uncomfortable. I was at 11k rpm when I hit that speed, so I had some room left to go faster with, but surely wasn't interested in doing so.

Apparantly going two teeth up in the rear doesn't overly affect top end speed...
