The only reason you've come to your conclusion is because you've lived with it for so long and have adjusted your riding style to it.

it's not getting hot in here. abad is correct in regards to the information he posted. as far as personal observations, then that is strictly subjective.
the racers and trackers that i know would not use an 180 on that rim. it's almost the same as people putting on 190s on 5.5 rims and say there is no change. all the facts and geometry point to lots of change and for the worse, but as far as rider input, it's all relative with what each rider likes...but in general, definitely not recommended.
why would you want to go up on size though?

dang!!!!! 180 on an F2 rim = 200 on an 5.5 or F4i rim...
most avid trackers and racers would disagree with using that far up beyond stock size...but then again, there are always the 2 or 3 per 1000 that just 'think' differently than what safety standards, engineering standards and design standards would otherwise point to.
