Well when i found out how to hook the choke back up it started making a loud ticking noise coming from the top of the head or right under the gas tank on the right side. So i unhooked it and reved it a lil a the tick kinda went away after a lilttle bit. So i guess im asking. What is it?? thanks

 

Sort of sounds like the Cam Chain Tensioner (CCT) to me. Its a problem with the F2s. Was it making this noise before you hooked the choke back up too? Put your ear low on the right side of the engine and check if it's coming from there. The noise usually goes away at higher RPMs and after the bike is warmed up, but while it'sdoing it, it sounds like thereare ball bearings flying around inside your engine and its going to fly apart at any second.The CCTis where I would start troubleshooting first. Buy a manually adjustable one andI think there's a good link in the How-To sectionabout installing it.Good luck!!

 

you can also convert the stock chain tensioner into a manual one, my Hurricane has it done, and I've got another stock F/F2 tensioner I'm about to hack up for the same purpose.

 

Hey yah i actully think thats what it is. Is it hard to put an aftermarket cct on?Also where is it located at?
