I've been noticing a clicking noise coming from my bike when I accelerate and decelerat. I'm 100% sure it isnt the cct.

Here's the problem: WhenI'm riding I'm hearing a clicking noise,it doesnt matter what gear im in or whether or not I'm in neutral coasting to a stop. It seems to be getting worse.

I know the explination isnt very thorough but it's quite confusing to me ofwhether it'sthe gears or the clutch

 

sounds like the chain... is it loose?

 

Not at all, I lube and check my chain once a week.Its coming from the front of the bike, around the motorwhatever it is.

sorry. maybe valves or lifters? time for oil change?

 

i dont know if you have an aftermarket header but my akrapovic header comes loose and makes a bad ticking noise which sounded like a paper clip in the head and i swore it couldnt be the header but as soon as i tightened it again it went away so you may want to check those header bolts.

 

Not a bad idea Gord, I'll try that tomorrow after work. Hopefully its that simple but I cant see why it would be loose. I'm thinking its a little more complicated than that

 

Does it happen only when hot? Then the radiator fan could be hitting something (just hoping for a minor solution :P)

hm.... does it do it while your standing still and reving the engine?

 

No, just while the bike is moving and it goes away ataround 5-10 mph.
