Default Thermostat or waterpump?

I am doing the f4i/600rr conversion on my bike and i noticed a slight coolant leak. Originally i thought it was from the waterpump or like a bad clamp on the lower radiator hose. But it looks almost like there is a 2 piece waterpump? leak from the gasket in between. Is the first cover a thermostat gasket and the waterpump is behind?
someone give me some direction so i know the proper way to fix this

Thanks,
Kevin

It isn't a thermostat, it is the water pump cover and it has a sealing ring between it and the pump body
