Hey guys,
Been searching, but no luck so far. Anyone know how long the stock tie rod is? Previous owner of my bike had homemade rearset plates, which had the whole linkage setup differently from stock. I want to return the rearsets to stock position (being taller) and can't get the linkage to sit where it won't be restricted by the water pump or with the shift pedal too low to reach. My current tie rod is about 9 inches long, which seems about 1 to 1.5 inches too long. The service manual doesn't give a dimension for this, sadly.

I can go measure mine, but why not just buy the little rod from honda?

True, it's cheap. But I'd like to know if I actually need a new rod or if I'm just missing something that should be obvious.

Thanks for the Bandit link. I already went there and every other place I could find parts info. No data on size. Guess I'll just suck it up and buy one.
