Default Shift lever

Has anyone bent there shift lever and been able to straighten it and if so did you have to heat it?

I bent my rear brake lever back to normal with no heating. Looks good to me.

post up a pic of that bad boy and I'll give my mildly-educated-by-experience opinion. I've done some impressively shady lever unfolding in the dirt bike world, and I've gotten away with some crazy crap with no heating.

+1 for a successful brake lever unbend. I tweaked mine back in place with no trouble.

It will be a day or two till I can post a picture, but it is bent back about 45 degrees right near where the toe piece sticks out.

It's steel, it should bend back no problem.

You'd be best to take it off first. You don't want to bend the little shaft-bolt thingy that holds it to the footpeg. It probably needs grease anyway.

Removed the shift lever and bent it back without any problems. Can't even tell it was ever bent.
