Seafoam?
so i was reading the bottle of seafoam i got i wanted to run it through the bike but i am a very skeptical guy when it comes to what a bottle of that kind of stuff says its good for will it harm any part of the motor? when added to the fuel? also can i add it to the oil i plan on changing the oil and filter tomorrow but want to know if it will be ok to put some in the oil that's in the bike run it for a few min shut the bike off then change the oil. the oil i got is amsoil 10w40 full synthetic motorcycle oil is that a good brand the previous owner ran royal purple through it is there a big difference between the quality of them? ok that's enough questions for this post lol

I recent test I read shows RP is godlike in protection, but the Amsoil stuff is pretty good, too. If you want to run a fuel cleaner/treatment try to find some Techron stuff. Techs in our shop love the stuff and they say it's the latest and greatest when it comes to cleaning out grime.
Seafoam comes with mixed reviews. It's petroleum based so I don't think you have any worries as far as damaging engine parts. Is there something wrong with the bike or you just want to run it through just in case? One thing I've learned over the years is not to try and fix what isn't broken. If you're bike is running well, don't bother with the Seafoam, wait till you feel like it's choking up or whatever else Seafoam is prescribed for.

the bike seems to be running great but at low rpms like through town at 30mph when i am just giving it a love tap on the throttle it seems to sound like it is either not getting enough fuel like clogged jets kinda a choked sound or that i dont have it tacked out enough but as soon as i open her up it is smooth sailing the previous owner put 31000 miles on it never did a carb cleaning or ran any "carb cleaner" additives through it he only changed the oil and filter every 2000 miles witch i was glad for but figured since it idles and runs smooth then i dont wanna mess with taking the carbs off untill winter when i go through the entire bike front to back so wanted to give it a little something to help get some gunk out also the guy before me had always run high test in the bike but it was the s**t with 10% ethanol i still put high test in but its ethanol free and cheaper the the crap with it
