Default Rectifier Regulator

the battery on my bike won't stay charged, so i checked the rectifier regulator. the part looked alright but the wiring harness that plugs into it looks burnt and melted. should i get a new rectifier regulator or is it the wiring?

You'll likely need to replace both the reg/rect and the wiring.

This may be of help:

Did you read the tutorial I posted?????????? Do so, then call your local Honda dealer. I know Mission Honda in Daly City usually carries the part in stock.

if it was the connecter that holds the 3 yellow wires together, and it was all burnt up, then thats ur problem, i had the exact same problem, and i went and bought a regulator for a 100 bucks for absolutely no reason, i just took off the burned up connecter, re-attached each wire to the other corresponding wires, heat shrink em, and go ridin!
