I already did a search and couldn't find an answer so hopefully you guys can help me.

My GF's F2's engine took a dump on her soI am swapping out the engine with an F3 engine thatI am picking up. Question is I know the engine is a direct swap out but willI need anything else for the swap that might be different because the engine is an F3 engine. Example carbs, airbox, is there a fuel pump ect I just want to make sureI have everything I need before tackleing this job so I don't have to go back and forth getting parts when i can get them off the bike all at once.

Don't jump all at once. LOL I got the info guys sorry for the incovienence. Does anyone even surf this site. Got my info from the Wera board. I am not to familiar witht eh F2's hence the questions. Hope to see you on the track soon!

 

not 100% positive, but i think you will need f3 carbs airbox, fuel pump, and ram air hoses

 

The F2 carbs and airbox will work with the F3 engine. The boots for the F2 carbs will fit the F3 engine and there is no fuel pump for the f2/f3's

 

the carbs for a F3 are slightly larger and have the runner angle changed, but it still a bolt on. Both carbs will work the F3 is2 mm larger if I remember correctly.

 

Yes they are the F2 carbs are 32mm and the F3 are 34 mm. Since the F2 carbs are still good i am using those and my GF is also on a budjet so I don't need the extra exspense.

 

According to the F2 service manual, F2 carbs are 34mm. Maybe it's the original Hurricane carbs that are 32mm??

 

also, im not sure if all, but i know my f3 has a fuel pump.
