Question Noob question, engine swap??

I have a 91 CBR 600 F2, and I want to go faster! I'm familier with the process of swapping engines on certain cars, but never have I thought of doing it to a bike.

Is there a write up, or some basic things I should know about swapping a newer 1000cc engine from a CBR (02-06), into my otherwise stock 91 cbr? Assuming I have the new engine, what other parts would be necessary to pull this off? I have relatives that can do anything in regards to metal fabrication, and I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty either!

That's kinda what I'm afraid of. I guess I'll have to get some measurements, but I wish I could find a write up of someone doing this already....

I don't have the money to do that, and my cousin has a 1000 cc CBR engine that he'll let go for cheap.

The 900RR swap has been done, I don't remember where I saw it, but it's definitely been done. If you do decide to do the 1000 swap, take lots of pics,

And let us know how you figure out the FI, air box, ram air, exhaust routing, throttle cables etc.

I"ll be swapping in an engine from a 600rr instead. It should be easier to fit in, and then the frame probably won't need any adjustments.
