Default question on motor

all right does ne body have experience with swaping major componets between f2's and f3's. I got a 97 f3 that has an f2 motor in it (guy i got it from did it) the hose on the left side of the motor below the carb boot that runs to the petcock. Does it have to be hooked up, or can i just plug it. I have an f3 petcock so i cant run it to their.

If the petcock has the vacuum hookup, then yes. If the petcock only has the connection for the fuel line, then it can be plugged.
