It`s not mess!!! It`s... abstract organising!
Yes, yes, I know... I`m a master of making a hellish mess and suck at putting the stuff back to their places...
Wanna know a secret? That room where the bike is, is the heated part of the garage. It covers about 1/3 of the whole space. You don`t want to see the "warehouse part"...

Ah, language barrier once again...
One thing I forgot to add: most of you guys seem to take the battery out of your bikes for the winter and put it in a trickle charger. I've forgotten to do this and the batt has been in its place hooked up to the bike for the whole winter. Now that I took the saddle and the tank off and saw the batt lid I figured I'd hook it in a charger, Benton I believe was the make of mine, but only after like a half and hour the charger went *click* and stated it's fully charged. It did perform great the whole summer so is it possible it just holds the current that well? The charger didn't go to any conditioning state or anything, it shut down like "im done here"... Gotta remember to check the water levels the next time I can go to the garage.

Front light clay mold experiment: epic fail. Next up, fiberglass...

this is very off topic but im assuming youre a gamer? noticed you have the same mouse as i do
either way your project looks like its coming along nicely!
But are you going to leave the tail lights as they are? IMO they would look better if they were mounted into the tail and sat fairly flush with the surface of it.

Well, I'd call myself a casual gamer, when I do it's mostly Xbox 360, I'm currently playing through Bioshock 2, last game on pc was I believe Dead Space 2. I bought that mouse when I ordered a new custom built machine last december in the hopes that it'd help me with my wrist, I busted both at work about three years ago carrying heavy boxes up and down stairs doing removals and they never really healed, they get sore from time to time and riding a motorcycle sure aint helping when they do...
There's a very good reason why those tail lights ( I call them frogeyes) are mounted like that:when I mounted them and saw them in place I decided I hate them and am trying to keep the holes in the fairing sa small as possible to be able to mount better ones, there actually is one dual "sharknose" light I know of, but it costs almost a hundred euros, then again now that I saw them frogeyes in place... Probably gotta order that, those aint staying there...
Btw, I sometimes wonder why people are so allergig to off topic here, I like to see a conversation branch out a little from time to time, given the thread is suitable for it...
I experimented yesterday with the front light trying to make a plaster cast from it, it was a partial success but it's starting to look like there's no really a shortcut to happiness here and I'm pretty much left with the last option to freehand the whole mold from cell foam...

The wheels, rear fender and the modded exhaust bracket are at the powdercoater, rims have probably been painted today but I told not to hurry with the other parts cause there weren`t anything silver on the list for today, he tends to collect bits to be painted with the same color so he can paint them all at once, special or individual parts cost extra to be hurried and since I don`t need them for a while I`m gonna save some bucks to wait for some alloys or something to come in to be painted silver.
I finally got the rear rim bearings and seals, cost me 88euros! A total ripoff but I was prepared for it since I externalized the seeking part to the shop instead of finding them myself, looks like I paid by the hour to get them... On the other hand, from what I`ve read from other project diaries seems like all parts, specially OEM parts cost way more here than for example in the States...
Today I got myself one of these:

A Kärcher K5.700, just assembled it a while ago, seems pretty solid. Pretty well be, cost me 350E! Luckily as a trucking entrepreneur I can get it reduced in my taxes... As soon as I get the wheels back under the bike I can get it washed before I continue working on it, there`s probably gonna be a small pause on the project after this post as I`m going to get my wife and my newborn son home from the hospital at sunday so I`m probably gonna be out of the garage for a week or so, hopefully I can get the tires to the rims in the meantime so I could get the bike back on it`s feet before starting with the front light unit,it would help with the lining a lot!
