problem with the f2??
I have a 1993 cbr 600with only2000 miles on it. well i have just developed this problem. after i have ran the bike for about 5-10 minutes (runs great for those 5-10 minutes)when i put the clutch in to coast to a stop light the bike turns off. I choke it and it starts back up just fine, then at the next stop light it does the same thing. And it just keeps on doing it. Ihave also noticed somebogging in the mid range?? has anyone ever experienced this before?? any ideas what it could be??
thank you for any info you can give me

Check your fuel line for kinks, and check your vacuum hoses too...if you have a suspected vacuum leak but cant pinpoint it, spray some carb cleaner around the suspected leak while engine is running- if there is any differnce in rpm you have a leak.
wow, a 03 with 2000 miles onit.. thats incredible..... I think you may want to go thru your carbs since you bike has sat for long periods of time.. hope you can figure it out
could be the rectifier/regulator but who knows. easy test just run a multimeter across the battery. should read 13-15 between idle and 5k rpm if it doesn't or reads lower or higher like 10-12 or 16-19 the regulator portion of the regulator/ rectifier is bad. Our bikes need the battery to be able to run at idle so if there is no juice, when the bike idles at a stop it will die because there is not enough juice for the plugs to fire. just a longshot guess easy check.
Don't know about the 93 models but my 91 had that same problem until I put an in-line fuel filter under the tank. I took that crap one out of the tank and installed a good in-line one and my problems went away.
Okay, so when the bike get's warm and you lower the amount of fuel going to the carbs, the bike stalls...starts back up with choke (getting more air). Here is what I would do:
1. Check plugs to see if they are fuel fouled. If they are there is a carb problem. Do you smell fuel after it stalls?
2. Check the air filter box (got to take it off anyway).
3. I'm not too sure about crap in the fuel (though an in-line filter would never hurt). But you seem to have problems at consistent times...which would lend itself more to carbs.
4. The R/R is a possability but I would think once it started stalling the problems would be more pronounced and you'd be lucky to make it home without your battery dying. But it could be a bad battery itself because the stator is only outputting power at a certain RPM level. If you have atrickle charger it should tell you if the battery is bad.
Overall, I would say that there is probably 75% chance it is related to your carbs...fuel and air is everything.
