Yeah I took off from 7k to redline, with a very slow progress to 7k. I'm guessing it's a combination of the bike being old, and my build. In years past I worked as a piano mover

I think the OP has the same issue, his bike probably doesnt have the compression, or the tune is pretty bad. I would like to also add my bike won't do above 120 with stock gearing too, just runs out of steam
my 1991 F2 has 131000 miles on it. it will still power up, and bo, it has not been rebuilt. snap the throttle at 7k rpm, if that doesnt work, move ya bum back at the same time, if no go still, add a tug on the bars also.
if it still doesnt work, try at higher rpm, and repeat the process. it will work. I bet you are just over thinking the whole thing

don't go slow up to anything you gotta haul *** to 7k (or in my case as low as possible)to get the rear compressed then abruptly close the throttle all the way and the front will dive once it bottoms it'll start coming back up that's when you nail it.this will all take place in about a second so its all about the feel.you'll lose rpms when you close so if 7k is ideal close at 7500 or wherever you feel your torque really come on.

This thread isn't usless, some good tips here and its the way i power wheelie...and i'm definetly bigger then you.
Your problem is your goin slow up to 7k. Sometimes i dont even look at the tacho, not enough time. Just WOT until i feel the power come on then snap the throttle real fast.
Like cowboy said you need to compress the front suspension befor you lift the wheel, and almost bounce it up lol.
Oh and get ready to catch it with the rear brake.
hehe
Good Luck

I started practicing and I could power mine a lil off the ground. With more practice I bet it could come up more. Just rev the hell outa it fast so that the rear dips then quickly let off so that the front dips then quickly rev the hell outa it again and there you go. While your doing that you gotta do stuff like slide back on the seat or stand up and try to yank up on the bars.

My old F2 went front up as hell!
Just you have to do it proper
And, by the way- everything wheelies, even a bicycle, so the talks- oh no, my bike has no power, is just a bull, problem is in you, not your bike
