Default Power Wheelies ---> Guessing not an option on an f2 :)

Hey there,

So just curious power wise if anyone else gets their CBR600F2 to power wheelie? I can take off like a bat out of hell and definitely unweight the front end, but the front end certainly isn't lifting fully off the ground.

Just curious if it's a sign of needing to do some performance/tuning work on my bike, or if it is just the bike.

Power is the best way imo. Dump the gas and hard back on it for 1st. Get good at that then off the gas hard back on it and ****** the hell outta the handle bars for 2nd. Get quick with the rear brake b4 u do anything.

Don't have an F2. I have an F3. But someone far, far more experienced with wheelies than me said quite simply any 600 can power up on 1. And he meant stock.

thank you for being the only person who actually read what i wrote, and had something relevant to post.

I can't power wheelie my 92 cbr600F2 and I'm two teeth up in the rear, K+N filter with micron exhaust, and it appears to have the carb adjusted to take advantage of both properly. 26k miles on the meter but it's definitely higher as the front speedo assembly went toast.

its the rider not the bike. any 600 in the last 2 decades has the power/weight ratio to power wheelie easily.

Any 600 inline 4 that weighs less than 500 pounds will power wheelie fairly easily.
I have had two bone stock F2s and they would both power wheelie no problem... learn about what you are trying to do before blaming your bike.

Either slide back or get your *** of the seat.if your definition of a power is coming up uninterupted acceleration then you wrong.

Pretty much what everyone has said. These bikes have plenty of power. You're probably doing it wrong.

edit: Before you get upset, we read it. You said you couldn't power it up, so unless there's specific running issues that you're noticing (I think we all assumed you'd include that info if this was the case) then it's pretty easy to chock it up to user error. As it almost always does, "practice makes perfect" most definitely applies in this situation.
