I use honda filters.. but i see no harm on K&N filters.. they are great. as for oil, I run honda oil. but it is all up to your preference on that one..

I like the K&N, but use the Fram for the price. Yes, I know they have a bad rep, but the price keeps them easy to replace.

Never had a problem with them.

Default RE: Oil Filter Question

I am using a Yana Shiki filter and Mobil 1 4T...I am not sure if the brand of oil filter will have as big a bearing on performance as say the type of air filter or spark plug...as long as it is reliable it should be fine. You will find the Mobil 1 4T to be highly recommended because it is specifically designed for 4 cylinder motorcycles and has additives that are missing in auto oils because of emissions regulations.

I use stock Honda filters and Honda oil too. I change my oil every 1500 miles, and every time it comes out clean so I don't see a need to use anything else. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
