Ok, I finally got back to riding, and it did it to me again.. I took it out of the garage, rode it about 10 minutes, and parked it in the sun. It ran fine the entire way there.
It spent an hour or 2 out in the sun, and when I went to leave, it did the exact same thing.. started up fine, ran fine for around a mile, and died.
It felt like it was running out of fuel.. so I played with the petcock and opened the gas tank (no hiss), and eventually it fired back up and ran fine again..
ANY ideas?

Sounds suspiciously like vapor lock to me. I had and old Kawi that did that on hot days. I'd ride it until the float bowls were empty and it would quit on me. The fuel line was right there on the side of the bike, though, and was easy to get at. Unhook it, hear it go psssssst, rehook it, and ride home. It'sNEVER happened to me with my F2 though..........

pee in its butt!
nah, sounds like your bike has low compression to me...as a last ditch effort have a dealership run a comp. test on it....you may have a ring thats wearing out.... or heres my odd question?
do you have a turn that you take REALLLY sharp and put the bike over a good ways sideways?
you bike has an angle sensor that automatically interrupts your ignition coil if your bike leans past a certian angle....or maybe this sensor is just shot?

nah, dont think i will try that on mine...she will hate me for it....
hmmmmm, do your jets need replacing on the carbs? the opening could have been cleaned improperly and enlarged so your engine is flooding before its hot...sounds like running out , but excess does the same...its the gas VAPORS that burn
a ha! do you have water in your gas tank?
even if you run multiple tanks through.....do water and gas mix? nope
maybe before your engin is hot enough to vaporize the water it "sits" in the jug?
pull a spark plug and see if theres any corrosion identifiable as water damage?
green/rust/cracked ceramic?
just shots in the dark here....

I have no idea why.
Mine also actred up, and I cleaned the rubber vacuum valve, and it helped a little bit, but not completly......still carbs ran dry of gas some times.
I pluged the vent hole on the petcock vacum valve, so carb one would suck harder on the rubber membrane....problem gone :-)
This may not be your problem, but it is VERY easy to try.....who knows :-)
