What's the score with the compression and rebound damping, the spring preload and how should they be set up? is it a case of experimenting or is there a preferred set-up? the bike is a 2002 f2

If it's a 2002 it's an f4 or f4i I think

As others have said, there is no such thing as a 2002 F2. The F designations refer to generations. F1 is the 1987-1990 CBR600, F2 91-94, F3 95-98, F4 99-02. There is no Badge on the frame? Where did you get this bike? Do you have the title?

 

Whatever bike you have, just be glad it's not the bikeI own that's nowsitting idle in my parent's house
