Default newb with a a couple of questions.

hey guys, i bought a 94 f2 not too long ago and i just purchased a new rear shock for her since my tail would hit the tire if i bounced on it at all. im wondering if i should be okay to put it in myself, im pretty handy with this kind of stuff, but was wondering if there is someting i dont know that might be a reason to pay someone else to do it? Secondly, i think i might have a slight bend in my front fork, well its like the handlebars always seem to turn slightly right when riding, Thanks for having a look fellas.

Will, MN

Yup, it's not hard to do, and actually pretty hard to screw up. Make sure you have it securely on stands before you try and wrench it off.

Congratulations on the bike!

Just be careful, maybe pick up a Clymer's manual on the f2 to be sure

[8D] Congrats.on the F2 dude nice bike, the rear shoch is very easy to do.make sure that you have bike on a rear stand and have a floor jack to raise and lower the swing arm.Ok now for the front forks they may not be bent just one may be lower than the other, take a ruler and see if the forks are the same hights.from the upper fork tree to the lower fork tree.let me know

its impossible for 1 fork to be lower or you wouldnt get the wheel spindle through the fork without havin to compress the fork up,
and on the fork legs there is a ring on the leg that lines up with the bottom part of the top tripple clamp, if you can just see the mark on both forks they are in the right position
