need some help and ideas
Ok guys.. so here's my problem. and its really pissing me off cause i spent alot of the winter putting work into my bike and now it wont start/crank/nothing. I have a 91 F2 and its in pretty ****ty condition cosmetically. plus a few things here and there. anyway. i assembled the bike's gauges and lights and the battery is charged and tested to be able to take the load however, when i push the engine start button. NOTHING HAPPENS. my headlight dims. and thats it! no sound nothing. i've checked the fuses and the wiring to the starter Ignition relay. am i missing something obvious. the kickstand is down, bike is in neutral, but WTF. nothing is happening. please please if you have had this happen and i am just missing a connection, please let me know. thanks

I'd check the continuity of the switches if you think you've checked everything out. Measure the resistance through the kickstand switch (in the service manual I believe) and make sure that your switch is actually working, also do the same for the run/off switch on the right handlebar.
make sure your grounds are good, but it sounds like you already checked that stuff.
possible starter relay?
even if the kickstand is down you can start the bike in neutral, and I think you can even start it with the kickstand down and the bike in gear so long as the clutch lever is pulled in, but I'm not sure on that one.
whatever you do, don't take alejandrof2's suggestion and try pulling your bike with a car to try and start it, thats just a receipe for disaster

If the 30 amp buss is blown you would not have lights to dim
If you did any wiring mods check that you didn't leave a connection crossed or weak - I try to reconnect using a dielectric water displacement paste after cleaning the male and female connectors. Also check your grounds, all the good connects will be weak if the common grounds are loose or lamed.
