my masheen has about 35k and randomly it doesnt seem to get into 2nd and i sound dumb because i missed a shift. also the other day i was down shifting, went from 4th to 3rd it felt like it hit but when i let out clutch it was like it was in neutral and when i puled clutch again it went into gear and has been fine ever since. going to only run 1k miles on this oil then am switching to synthetic. not sure which one tho. anyone have any suggestions?

from 1st to 2nd in high rev's, mis shift into nuetral, happens to me too. most of the time i dont think about it and just shift normal, but it takes a little more ump to get it in there. so i try to concentrate on the shift when doing high rev

Does the same with an F3, no worries, the high revs cause you to miss, just shift solidly and decisively

Twice at the track last night, my 93 F2 poppedOUT of 2nd gear, shifting clutchless at 13,500,but its done it randomly maybe a half dozen times at lower rpms in the 4 months Ive had it. Its never done it when I clutch shift though. I think Im gonna invest in one of those Factory Pro Shift kits, read lots of good stuff about em.

Yea, mine does the same thing. Like homeboy said, you gotta get it past nuetral fast if you're in high rpms. I feel like an idiot when I do it too. Grinds horribly and has to get back to low rpms to get it back into gear.

Mine didn't grind, just popped back out, so I pull in the clutch, only letting off enough to keep it below redline, put it back in 2nd and go on. Costed me about 1 1/2~2 tenths in the 1/8 both times. [8D]

OMG! Just started riding on the street, and that has happened to me like 6 times past two weeks lol Especially embarassing when it happens around other riders or car full of hot chicks []

To make it easier, if you have to stretch too much to put the pressure necessary, you can adjust the shift lever. If you look at it, the bar that comes from the shift lever to the crankshaft has two nuts on both sides, they are lock nuts. THEY ARE REVERSE THREADED (I turned one of them into a circle trying to loosen it, trust me here) after you loosen them, spin the bar around, which raises/lowers the lever. Allows for better leverage to avoid that, but ALWAYS remember to slam it into 2nd when in high revs, it is embarassing for this to happen.
