Default Manual Cam Chain Tensioner

Hello I got a manual cam chain tensioner to relpace the stock tensioner and since i didnt get the bike when it was made in the very beginning. I was wondering if the cam chain made a slight noise when the bike was originally created I would like to know so I can feel better about the setting it is set at.

No from the factory they did not making noise from the cam chain. They use a pressurized cct from the factory that commonly fail. To fix this issue people have designed a manual cct so that when it starts making noise you can quickly adjust it instead of spending $40+ on a factory cct everytime

Yeah it's a pretty easy thing to install. Follow the directions, and then back it out until you start to hear the cam chain making noise. It's friggen obvious as can be. I was concerned I'd have trouble discerning the noise, or determining if I had made it go away enough. The noise however is fairly distinctly on or off. You just keep finesing the point until you find exactly where it's off, and set it there. Viola you are done!
