Default Little help please with oil change.

I have a 1993 F2 600cc CBR. Would like to know how much oil does it take to give it a oil change for spring? Wanna do it myself and save some money.

Also what would you recommend for proper spark plugs for some performance too? Those definitely need a change.

Thanks for the help.

Are you changing the filter also? (strongly recommended)

I cant remember the specs but you require more oil when changing the filter. When in doubt check the dipstick.

NGK plugs, I believe stock is irridium.

Go with whatever is standard, which I believe is NGK irridium.

Pull your current plugs and take the part # to match or cross-reference.

CR9EH-9 stands out in my mind.

The iridium ones aren't standard they cost more though lol. i always just go with the regular NGK plugs and never had any problems.

and they raised the price of everything this year:
2008 oil= 15.99
2009 oil= 22.99
Same exact oil too because i have both bottles. I was P.O. when it cost me 40 to change my oil myself!!!!

Any preference for motor oil, synthetic or standard with this bike?

Here is a newbie dumbass question(please don't laugh), do they have a performance ignition kit for this bike? Like what muscle cars with carbs have, MSD kit.

If it is currently using synthetic oil you cannot switch back to regular, you must continue with synthetic. Amsoil is a popular choice.

There is an aftermarket ignition advance rotor available for our bikes made by Factory Pro.
