Default i need help!!!

ok heres my problem, i got my bike from storage yesterday and it started great and ran fine...i started to mess with my idle adjust and then it ended up not starting up and i ran the bat down tryin to start it back up....ok so i have it hooked up to jump it from a car bat...(car not running) and the cables werent properly color coded and i ended up crossing the cables..i kno i kno...stupid move....now i have no power whatsoever....i put a new batt in and replaced the 30 amp fuse in line after the batt and still not even any lights....please help me on this its gunna be sumwhat nice for a couple days and id like to get it fixed so i can at least ride it back to the garage b4 it gets crappy out again. i know there are people on here that can help me, anything and everything is appreciated....except smart a$$ comments about my mistake.....Thanks!

Is the battery in the right way? Positive is red and has a plus sign. negative is black with minus sign.

is battery dead? i just got a new battery for my sisters car and it was completely dead. wouldnt even turn on a test light. had to take it back for a new one.

is the fuse you put in bad?

is there another fuse you missed?

Hershey someone needs help!!! lol

and do you live in michigan by any chance? it was 10 degrees last week and now this week its in the 50s lol

No i live in ill....and the batt could b dead i guess but idk y it would be..i can put the old one back in and check it...the only fuse i saw was the 30 directly after the bat....and yes the bat is in correctly...haha i knew what i was doin just hastily didnt check the cables when hooking them up and they were not color coded right anyways to make it harder

Check the IGN fuse in the box to the right of the display gauges, as well as any other fuses that may cut power.

(If your bike has fairings, there is a small panel you need to remove to access the fuses)

Other than that, like others stated, check the battery. Connect your jumpers back to your car battery and if you get power it is likely the new battery.

im assuming that this is the panel that is on top of the fairing under the throttle?? Any other suggestions??

well today is the last nice day we will have for awhile...so hopefully i can get it figured out after work....if not ill be back tomm asking more...haha

ok so its not the fuses or the new batt......could it b a bad regulator or sumthin???? if you have any suggestionjs please help....also please email me at emason@pacltd.com because im on my phone nd its way easier to get email than to sign onine and work my way to the site....thank you for the help!!

When you checked the 30a on the starter relay did you take the plug off and check in there or the one on the outside? Just making sure you didn't confuse the spare amp for the actual one. Make sure to check the ground wire(both ends) too. After being in storage it might be a little rusty and need some cleaning/sanding for a better contact.
