left side case
I recently bought my f2 off of a guy who dropped it on the left side. WHen the bike fell it scraped up the left side cover for the motor pretty good, I want to take it off and repaint it, is there fluid behind the cover that i need to drain or is it okay to unbolt it right away?? It looks to me like the stator is behind that cover, am i right? thanks, Josh.
you will get oil out of there but not much..if you can try and lean it tothe other side and you will be fine..behind there is the stator, starter and starter gear.. just make sure that you get a new gasket before hand so you dont have alot of down time!
is there a bolt under the motor to drain that area so i dont have to tilt the bike or is it just an area oil finds its way in to? Thanks buddy! btw, does that rear f3 tail, taillight and seat bolt right up to an f2 without modification? Im thinking about doing that.
