I thought it was stock! Im going to clean it up again and ill check. I think its a fuel mixture thing. Idles with choke on at 1500 rpm and never rises. It dies if i give it gas. but then i took choke off and it runs at 1500 then spikes to 4500 then i turn down the idle and it dies.. also my 2 and 4 pipes arent getting hot fsst. I think its a fuel mixture. Those carbs were spotless when i reinstalled them and theres seafoam in the tank. Its beyond me!

 

I adjusted the mixture screws 2 turns out and it still will only run on full choke.. Those carbs are soo clean too. I have no idea whats wrong with it now

 

Just cleaned and adjusted the carbs again.. Second time today. Theres no way thats the problem. Im reinvestigating the petcock but i think its a charging issue. It runs stong then the lights start dimming a bit then it dies. Im going to get new plugs and a new battery tomorrow and see if that does the trick.. My regulator was quite hot so im expecting to replace that as well! Carbs wont be cleaned for a loonngg tiiimmeeee! 4 times in a week seems good to me! Lol

 

Have you done a carb sync? Cylinders 2 and 4 may be running rich. Adjusting all the idle mixture screws 2 turns out should get you close to ideal. When your carbs are out, did you check to make sure the idle adjuster works properly?

 

Yep i did all that. When it stalls it almost looks like furl fuems were coming from the tail pipes! Im thinking fouled plugs but im gouling to check the petcock too. Wish i had a fuel pump

 

Its bogging down like it has too much fuel
