Perhaps a dumb question. But helps appreciated

 

On the bottom of the carbs there is a horizontal screw in the float boal. Unscrew that and the little nipple on the bottom of the float bowl is where the gas will come out. you can use a small hose and fit it to the nipple there and unscrew. thats it... should i say nipple one more time lol.

 

is there a way to control where the gas goes, or will it just spill wherever?

 

You can attached a small hose to the outlet on the bottom of the bowls. I use a small clear (1/4") hose into a plastic cup. Like the clear to inspect the gas.
