Default Purchasing over the internet

Hey its me again! Thanks for your help last time with directing me to the link that helps you out on what to look for when buying your first bike, now I have another question or more of an opinion. I Saw this F2 on e-bay that I liked and the owner seems to give good detail on upgrades and recent maintenance done on the bike. I was wondering if alot of people here have bought bikes over the internet and if so, how did it go? Was the bike what it said it was and in general how was the experience? In the area I live in I have only seen a couple of bikes that caught my eye and then I saw this one on e-bay and it seemed like another possible prospect. Anywho enough rambling, back to the main thing, whats your opinion on buying a bike online?

I don't use Ebay for purchasing vehicles, but www.craigslist.com is an awsome site. I have bought my last 3 motorcycles from the forum and couldn't be more pleased.

I bought mine off ebay motors. But it was in the same state etc. I only paid a deposit n then the rest on delievery. But you have to watch things on ebay. Its not always a nightmare if you use common sense n stay as close to home as you can.

Your local craigslist is a great source. I only consider ebay if the vehicle was in the same state. The shipping is an expensive deal.

There was a recent topic here with someone trading bikes sight unseen....DO NOT DO IT! ALWAYS take a look at what the heck you're gonna spend your hard earned $$$ on.. You do not want to get burned and then regret it...
