Default higher rpm trouble?

hey,
rode my bike to school, had class for about 2hours 45minutes, started her up...then waited at a stop sign behind a car, i loaded the engine (this is where you keep the clutch in the friction zone and give enough throttle so you dont roll down a hill) for a while cause i didnt want to use my brake on a hill...took off and as soon as i hit about 4k my bike sounds like a sv650 and it doesnt seem to be getting the power that im used to its a lot less
when i open the throttle there's it seems like theres noticable lag between throttle and relative movement

anyone have a problem like this
could it be because of me loading my engine?
could it be serious?
anyone have suggestions?
im going to start by checking the spark plugs...

dammit right before my exams too well at least i have the weekend

You probably just fouled a couple of plugs, and they cleaned back up on their own. [8D]

sounds about right. mine sounded like that when one of my coils died (running on 2 cylinders)

Might not hurt to run some fuel system cleaner through the carbs there. Also a new set of plugs would be wise.
